Vince Johnson is an experienced Iowa farm land broker whose portfolio of professional work extends to the office and the field. Rooted in Iowa agriculture, Vince is a licensed real estate broker with a diverse background in farm management, land valuation, financial planning, and Iowa farm property sales.
Vince specializes in land sales, acreage sales, and land auctions with an emphasis on land investment acquisitions, as well as recreational and development opportunities. He is a member of the Iowa Association of Realtors, the Poweshiek County Board of Realtors, the Realtors Land Institute, and the National Association of Realtors.
Following his graduation from Wartburg College with a degree in business administration, Vince returned home to help manage his family’s 1,300-acre farming operation in Montezuma. Thereafter, Vince began his career as an agent with Farm Bureau Financial Services, Inc., where he earned Series 6 and 63 securities, life, health, and property casualty licenses.
As founder of Security Appraisal Services Inc., Vince developed and expanded his customer base to include more than 75 institutional banking and real estate clients in Iowa. The entrepreneur also created Security Title & Escrow Services Inc., an abstract, title, closing, and escrow services firm serving customers statewide. His professional accomplishments also include the negotiation of long-term lease agreements for a proposed 32,000-acre wind farm involving more than 200 landowners in Poweshiek County. He also was instrumental in the conceptualization of a planned resort community with a 400-acre man-made lake near Grinnell, the negotiation of options on 19 contiguous parcels encompassing 2,120 acres, and the securing of a 401/404 federal dam permit.
In 2012, Vince co-founded Iowa Land Sales & Farm Management, a land brokerage and affiliated real estate law firm with a diverse offering of farmland marketing solutions, farm management, estate planning services, and sound legal advice. Strong affiliations with trusted partners and peers in the industry allow Iowa Land Sales to collaborate on behalf of its clients to get results.
Vince’s dedication to family, work, and community have earned him the reputation of being an approachable advocate for Iowa landowners. Whether working in the field, traveling to meet clients, or talking shop at a local store, he is passionate about combining traditional land brokerage techniques with new technologies to meet the needs of his customers.
He stays involved in his community and enjoys spending time at home with his two children. Vince is engaged with the Monte 20/20 community organization and is a former board member of the Poweshiek County Farm Bureau. He currently serves on the Montezuma Community School Board, taking an active role in improving the quality of education for kids in Iowa.
